Privacy Policy

At BrivTools, privacy is not an afterthought—it is the core foundation of how our tools are engineered. We believe everyday developer and digital utility tools should work without harvesting personal information or storing sensitive files.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike traditional cloud-based SaaS services, BrivTools is architected to minimize data handling to the absolute minimum necessary:

  • No Uploaded File Storage: When you convert an image, resize a video, extract PDF text, format CSV or XML, the file data never leaves your computer. Computation runs locally inside your browser's execution sandbox using WebAssembly, Canvas, and JavaScript.
  • No Account Credentials: We do not offer or require user registration, profile creation, or logins.
  • No Payment Information: All tools on BrivTools are completely free. We do not collect credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment records.

2. Information We May Process

Depending on which utilities you use and how you interact with our website, limited technical data may be processed:

A. URL Proxy Fetch Requests (Web & Sitemap Utilities)

Certain tools (such as Sitemap Finder, Website URL Extractor, and Keyword Extractor) analyze publicly accessible websites that you submit. Because standard web browsers enforce Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) security restrictions, our server acts as a temporary proxy to fetch the public HTML or XML of the specified target URL.

Important: Fetched web pages are parsed ephemerally in server memory and returned to your browser. We do not store, index, or retain copies of third-party website contents retrieved through our proxy.

B. Server Logs and Diagnostic Information

When you visit BrivTools, our hosting servers automatically log standard network request metadata. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring webpage, request timestamp, and HTTP response codes. These logs are used solely for infrastructure monitoring, DDoS protection, rate-limiting malicious automated scrapers, and diagnosing network errors.

C. Browser Local Storage (Client-Side Only)

We may utilize your browser's native localStorage or sessionStorage to store client-side preferences (such as saved tool settings, input history, or UI toggles). This information remains stored strictly on your local device and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR Compliance)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process limited technical data under the following lawful bases recognized by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Operating, securing, and maintaining the stability of our platform, preventing cyberattacks, maintaining firewall integrity, and ensuring proper routing.
  • Service Fulfillment: Performing URL retrieval requests made directly by you through our online tools.

4. Cookies and Web Analytics

BrivTools does not use invasive third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels to build behavioral profiles.

We may use privacy-preserving, aggregate analytics or standard server telemetry to understand high-level traffic metrics (such as total pageviews, popular tools, and browser distribution). These analytics do not track individual users across other websites and do not sell data.

You can configure your browser to reject cookies or clear existing cookies at any time through your browser settings.

5. Third-Party Infrastructure Providers

To deliver high-speed, reliable performance worldwide, BrivTools relies on reputable global cloud infrastructure providers:

  • Hosting & Edge CDN: Our web application is deployed across global Content Delivery Network (CDN) edge nodes to ensure rapid page load times and SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Google Fonts: Web fonts are loaded via Google Fonts CDN to provide modern, accessible typography.

These service providers process requests in accordance with their respective security certifications and privacy standards.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA / CPRA

Depending on your location, you have statutory rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know / Access: Request disclosure of what personal data has been processed.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of personal data held in server logs.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: Equal service regardless of privacy exercise.
  • Do Not Sell My Personal Information: BrivTools does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Because we do not store user accounts or personal profiles, we hold virtually zero persistent identifying information. If you have inquiries about server log diagnostics or privacy rights, please reach out via our contact channels.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

BrivTools is a general audience digital tool suite and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please notify us immediately so we can take appropriate corrective action.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements to our toolset, technical architectures, or relevant legal requirements. When updates are published, the "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of this document will be revised accordingly.

We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we maintain your privacy.
