What this paraphrasing tool does
The tool asks a language model to rewrite a passage while retaining its intended meaning. It can help you reconsider sentence structure, reduce repetition or create a draft in clearer language. The result is a suggestion for a human author to review, not a certificate that a document is original.
Despite the name, a plagiarism remover cannot determine whether ideas, wording or evidence have been properly attributed. This tool does not compare your passage with websites, journal articles, student submissions or any plagiarism database. It does not report a verified similarity score and cannot guarantee a result in Turnitin or another checker.
Paraphrasing still needs attribution
When you express another author’s idea in different words, the source may still need a citation. Replacing individual words does not make someone else’s argument your own. Use quotation marks for wording you retain exactly, and preserve the citation that identifies the source. Follow your institution’s or publisher’s rules on AI assistance.
A useful workflow is to read the source, identify the point you need to explain, write your own account and then use a rewrite as an editing suggestion. Verify the draft against the source before publishing. Do not use the output to misrepresent authorship or to conceal copied work.
Check facts and wording after every rewrite
The instructions ask the model to retain facts, citations and quotations, but generated text can still change a number, qualification, technical term or relationship between ideas. Compare names, dates, units and claims with your original. Check whether cautious language such as “may” or “suggests” has accidentally become a stronger claim.
Review quotations character by character and confirm that each reference still supports the sentence around it. If you need to inspect differences manually, open the Text Diff Checker. For whitespace cleanup without AI rewriting, use the Text Cleaner.
Privacy, file input and practical limits
TXT and PDF files are read in your browser. Starting a rewrite sends the extracted or pasted text to the BrivTools server and then to Google Gemini. Avoid confidential documents, passwords, personal records and material you do not have permission to share. The privacy policy explains this server-powered exception to local processing.
The editor accepts up to 10,000 characters per request. File extraction can be imperfect, especially for multi-column layouts and scanned pages. Check the editor before submitting; only the text shown there is sent. A scanned PDF containing images of pages requires OCR elsewhere first.
Request limits and service availability can temporarily prevent a rewrite. A failed or interrupted request is shown as an error. Downloaded PDFs use a basic Latin font; use TXT when preserving non-Latin characters is important. Keep your original passage and verify the downloaded file before sharing it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about AI Plagiarism Remover usage, file handling, security, and limits
Does this tool guarantee plagiarism-free text?+
No. It generates a rewritten draft and does not compare it against a plagiarism database. You must review originality, citations and any applicable authorship rules yourself.
Do I still need citations after paraphrasing?+
Yes. Rephrasing a source does not remove the need to credit ideas or evidence that are not your own. Keep quotations and citations where appropriate.
Where is my text processed?+
Starting a rewrite sends your text to our server and Google Gemini. Text extracted from PDF or TXT files is included. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information.
Can I upload a PDF?+
You can select a text-based PDF or TXT file. Review the extracted text before rewriting. Scanned PDFs need OCR elsewhere first, and requests are limited to 10,000 characters.
Why did my rewrite fail?+
The provider may be unavailable, a request limit may have been reached, or the connection may have ended early. Wait before retrying; incomplete output is not treated as a successful rewrite.
