In the PDF specification, pages exist as leaf nodes of a hierarchical document page tree. When you organize a PDF with BrivTools, our client-side JavaScript engine reads the source document's page dictionary in memory, reconstructs the page tree following your exact sequence, and builds an updated cross-reference table.
